AP scores for admission??

do colleges look at your AP scores for admission or for placement once you are admitted?? also, do you chose to send certain APs and not others??? thanks.

they don't use them for admissions but they are used for placement after admissions.

If you self report good scores, they can only help you. If you have taken a bunch of APs and don't report, that could look weird. Many university supplements have spaces for AP scores, but yeah, they are mainly used for placement.

To answer this question, first you must ask the question is there any validity to the student GPA from one high school to another, across the nation?

APs are mainly used for placment and awarding credit. with that said, some colleges do request that you submit your scores (either officially or by simply listing scores on an app) for admission. you could also voluntarily submit them, but I'd call the admissions office first, as some don't like extra papers floating around.

all your scores are listed on a single sheet. if you send one, you send all. the only chance you have at not showing a certain score is if you cancelled it right after taking the test.
