Ap scores for Ivy league schools

Do AP scores matter in Ivy League applications? I am a freshman, and I got a 4 on AP Human Geo and a 3 on AP Bio (even though I didn’t take the class).

Those scores are fine. They wont keep you out of any school.

High ranked colleges like the ivies usually consider AP scores if you submit them, but you are not required by any college to actually provide AP scores for the purpose of determining admisison. I would agree with the above that your two scores are not likely to hurt you.

While I agree that your scores will not impact your admissions chances, I do want to clarify one thing:

Colleges do not give brownie points to applicants who aced an AP exam without taking a class. On the flip side, they don’t view not taking the class as an extenuating circumstance. If one chooses to self study for an AP exam, that’s fine and dandy. But own the decision; don’t offer up excuses after the fact.
