AP Scores for MIT and IVY

O.K. I just want to start off by saying that I know a college won’t not accept you just because of a three on an AP test, but my question is should I report the scores for the tests or I got 3s on or just not worry about them, I have others that are fours and fives.

MIT only accepts scores of 5 on certain AP tests for credit. Check for any Ivies you are applying to.

If the 3’s or 4’s won’t earn you any credit, it’s probably not worth reporting them. AP scores matter little for admissions decisions.

I disagree with above - if adcoms see you took the class but didn’t report the exam score, they’ll assume you got a 1 or 2. A 3 is a fine score and won’t hurt your chances.

I also agree that one should report any scores of 3+, certainly 4+. It’s not like the AP scores are going to sway admissions much one way or the other.

Report them. That’s who you are. AP scores will not make or break your application.
