I know most schools say it helps a bit if you have AP scores. One thing weird was that the Common App asks you to "self-report" AP scores....(I don't know how adcom can trust these scores...)
So, I wonder is it necessary for me have my AP scores sent to the admission office OFFICIALLY by Collegeboard if I want my scores to be considered part of my application?

(Or they will consider the "self-reported scores" ? But for some colleges I already applied, they said nothing about AP in their "received application documents")

And how important are the AP scores in the application process( I already have SAT1 and 3 SAT2 results)? Many of you have taken APs and got decent scores, so can anyone tell me about it? Thx!

You don’t send your AP scores until you’re accepted, they take your word for them.
Think about it: if you’re lying, they’ll know when you send your score report, and then they’ll just rescind admission.

Question, how exactly do you report the scores if you want to do it officially? I looked on the website and it said something about calling them and needing to have your AP ID but what if I lost that? Since I got all 5’s I might just report them, I mean it can’t hurt admission chances…

I mean during the admissions process. Since they are not required, I heard that you should show them only if they are your best. After you’re accepted I think you should send them all. You can report them by sending in a part of your score report or over the phone.
