Where are my scores :(

Sigh…my scores still ain’t up.

MyBerkeleyApp still shows nothing for my AP scores – not just for the 2010 tests but for the 2009 tests as well. I called the College Board this morning and was told both just haven’t been sent yet and would be sent mid-July. But I’m concerned because I would have thought my 2009 scores should already be posted. I’m about to do my Phase I without CALSO (I’ve been overseas this month) and am frustrated that I won’t have met the pre-reqs to register for some classes because of my missing 2009 AP scores. Do all freshman face a similar situation, where the 2009 tests don’t get sent until the 2010 tests are ready?

The telebears system does not enforce prereqs - as long as you know the results already and are SURE that you have the right score on a test to count for some prereq or waive a requirement, then go right ahead and register for the class you need.

Likely it was a College Board decision to save money by sending all your scores at once when the 2010 are ready.

Cal can be quite slow in processing this stuff as well, which is why it is good that the system doesn’t block registering for a class until your official records show all test scores and prior college credits.

Ah good, thanks for the clarification!

You’d have better luck looking in your mailbox at this point(Just got my ap scores today thru the mail)

My scores came in the mail but they aren’t up on Berkeley’s website yet. Is this the case with anyone else?

My scores haven’t come via mail or MyBerkeleyApp. :(

My son’s scores came in the mail and aren’t on the site yet.

There are some exceptions to this…I know, for example, TeleBEARS won’t let you sign up for a RCb class unless Berkeley has an official record of RCa exemption (official AP Lang/AP Lit score, etc).

Must be something new, because on the Registrar’s site ([Tele-BEARS and Enrollment in Classes - Office Of The Registrar](http://registrar.berkeley.edu/prospective_students/registration_enrollment/telebears_class.html)) it says:

Prerequisites
Tele-BEARS does not check whether you have completed prerequisites for a particular course (except those requiring satisfaction of the UC Entry Level Writing Requirement (formerly the Subject A requirement)).

Perhaps with the new R&C policies, they have added that second case of checking RC-A completion. It wasn’t listed as a field on Bearfacts (Personal profile) which is usually what telebears has access to - only a few things such as class level, declared major status, entry writing, and so forth, but not any details about R&C classes or waivers.

Nor do any of the RC FAQs mention the restriction. The only enforcement listed is subject A (entry writing) being required before registering for either RC class. Until you mentioned that you knew that RCB is blocked for someone who had Entry writing but not RCA satisfied, I would have sworn it wasn’t handled by telebears.

^Actually, I’m not sure whether or not he has entry-level writing completed. That could be it.

It is interesting that from all appearances, telebears looks only at the meager information that is listed in the Personal Profile from Bearfacts when it makes its decisions. Everything it is known to do (and not do) is explained by that.

Makes sense, as it would otherwise need access to the databases with all your courses, units and grades, pushing up the processing load significantly.

This way, it knows:

Education Level

Non-AP Level

Future (Telebears) Level

College

Major

Academic status

Special registration program

Subject A status

American history status

American institutions status

American cultures status

plus some personal stuff like birth date

Couple those with the restrictions and categories set up for classes - junior only, xx major only, open, etc - and we see the limits of what control is exerted on registration. Unless the class has had a restriction setup, it isn’t enforced. For example, some seminars that appear intended only for lowerclassmen do not have such categories or restrictions set up, which allows anyone to register for them. Seems like a simple set of boolean conditions are used to define the categories and restrictions, on the lines of

(major = Molecular and Cell Biology - Plan II, Emphasis 2) or (major = Molecular and Cell Biology - Plan II, Emphasis 3) or (major = Public Health)

Where are my scores :(!?!?!?! They’re not on myberkeleyapp and I didn’t received it by mail even though I am in Socal. I just moved so my mail is delayed because they get forwarded to my new address. The wait is killing me.

AP Government and Politics 5
AP Comparative 4
AP Biology 5
AP Macroeconomics 5
AP Microeconomics 5
AP Environmental Science 5
AP Calculus BC/AB 5/5
AP Spanish 4
AP English 3
AP Physics C 5/5

These are my scores from the tests I took this year. Fail English right? The only one that really mattered too. And yes, I took 11 AP tests this year. Worst day ever was the Bio/Physics C/Physics C test combo.

When you get very good telebears times because you are that many units ahead of others, it will make the time you spent taking the tests a bit more worthwhile. Also, it may have been the factor that spurred your admissions offer in the first place.

Although the waiver of R&S classes is a pretty nice benefit of the english test - do have to agree with you on the irony of pulling your lowest score in that of all tests.

Should I call admissions and ask about my scores or should I wait until next week? Somebody help me :(.

Just wait. They said on the AP score page:

This means you should at least give them until the end of Saturday. Then, if your scores don’t show, give 'em a call.

Some kid who went to some school in my districts years ago got a 5 in 12 AP tests and I don’t think that included his senior year APs. Pretty insane, I wonder how many units that guy had.

I don’t have any scores shown yet and have not received anything in the mail =
