I'm a transfer student who recently applied to UCB and UCLA. On the UC application, I reluctantly entered my sub-par AP scores from high school (four "2"s, for personal reasons I don't want to release on a forum). Bottom line, my current California community college GPA is now a 3.7. How badly will they stress my AP scores? Will they notice that my current grades are an improvement over these high school test scores? I didn't want to omit my AP scores completely, in case they have ways of finding out lol. Would I still have to mail them my scores after (hopefully) being accepted? Thanks, guys.

Don’t worry. They don’t care what you did in high school. Granted, if you received a 3 or higher, you would have been awarded AP credit, but just because you received 2’s, it will NOT reflect unfavorably on your application.

Yeah, it is my understanding that the AP scores are simply for them to see if you can pass out of certain classes. The scores themselves only really mattered that much for freshman admission I believe.

Thanks, guys! That’s a tad reassuring. Much appreciated.

Doesn’t it ask for ones you passed? I didn’t list the ones I didn’t pass cause they were pretty irrelevant (I didn’t pass Calc AB but did pass BC) and APs are basically only used for credit not admission.
