Yes, you can.

State AP scholar, I believe, is for the most AP's taken and highest average score on them, in each state. AP National Scholar requires only 8 AP tests and is very doable by the end of senior year.

For the State AP scholar, do they only resort to whoever has the highest average score if there's a tie for number of AP's taken?

think of all the money cb has made off u guys lol shame on you!! jk =P

someone go pay for my ap scores lol =) anyone anyone?

and from the looks of it, the ap spanish curve wasnt really nice? i ono i think i literally failed it so i ono yet....

how did you guys get scores?

you call and they give u a machine that reports it. you have to pay though =/

Actually, to be a National Scholar, you don't just need an average of 4 on all tests taken...you need 8 tests where you got a 4 or better. It's only possible to get one of those and not the other if you've taken more than 8 AP tests, which would be real hard to do before your senior year. It's a biatch for me, I have 7 tests where I have a 4 or 5 (6 5s and a 4) but that damn 3 in Biology...It's hard for me to complain about those grades, but it's soooooo close...

do you even need to send in ap scores to colleges before you are actually admitted into the college? would it be beneficial to you(provided you have decent scores) to send your ap scores along with your application? Also, how would this compare to the SAT II? For example, i got a 730 on the SAT II Bio-M and a 5 on the AP exam? Should i retake the SAT II and shoot for a higher score or would both a 730 and a 5 make it look decent enough?

no do not send your ap scores. you self-report and then send the official after YOU decide where you are going. 730 is roughly a 5 on the AP test, but remember, they're very different tests. AP Bio has alot more thinking on it whereas the sat2 is practically entirely definitional. i got a 3 on the AP but got a 750 on the sat2. in my opinion, dont retake it.

That 4 made me sad, but then again I'm not majoring in US History. I would like to go back and retake the course, though, because there was a lot of information - I just wish I had learned it better!

ENVIRONMENTALISTS, WHERE ARE YOU????

oh yeah, and they all got 5's. yeah, maybe environmentalism IS a reflection of a person's ability. and maybe you were just OWNED. hehe.

am i the only dumb person here?

eng lang - 4 (unexpected because it is my worst subject. i was barely hoping for a 3. i suck so much at english (sat verb: 600, writing 650, failed UC subject A exam)

calc bc - 3 (really disappointed...i got 730 for sat1 and sat1c in math. has always been my best subject)

score of shame
3 Calc BC (4 on AB Subscore)
Agh! Got high fours on two practice tests.... But I can't change the past. I guess it was ok b/c I'm only a junoir, so I'm going to take Calc II at my local college next year. That way I'll still receive college credit. It's just that 3s invoke deep feelings of... shame.... lol

Edit: As for my reasons feeling bad about a 3, its kind of wierd- my parents are definitely not a factor (they're really supportive) and I really don't care about the college credit thing... Its just that I set a personal goal and when I didn't reach it that disappointed me.

This thread is torturing me. I keep telling myself not to look at it, but somehow I keep coming back and checking it and seeing how you guys are all doing (and you are doing incredibly well -- congrats!!) and then I torture myself wondering how I did, but I just absolutely refuse to call and pay $8 to get my scores. I feel like collegeboard already has more of my money then they deserve. Obviously the scores are ready, so why can't they post them on the web for free now as they do with the sats and then mail them later in July???!!? I'm waiting on principle and it is just about killing me. Anyone else out there holding out?

I am waiting for the scores. It is ridiculous to pay $8 for something that you can get for free.
