I dont get it. Since when are 4s bad scores?

since you came here... lol... 4s are not bad

well i guess considering most of these kids want Ivy League. But for people that are just attending second tier, a 4 is good.

I'm soo happy...

US History: 5
Chemistry: 4
Psychology: 5

Exaxctly what I predicted :D Seems like me only writing about one instead of three of topics on one of the psych essays made no difference, yay. I'm glad at least these scores panned out the way I wanted them too.

How will Ivy Leagues view 4s? I found on the website that they still accept 4 or higher for credit. So I assume that 4s is still good.

I don't think 4 is a bad score. It is just a lot of kids here got 5 in many APs, and I am upset about ONLY Psych (I am happy with USH) because I could do better!

wow a 4 i think is ok for IVY but they want majority 5's.

Physics C: 5 (self)

European History 5

The Euro was a complete and utter shock. My essays were terrible, I didn't know half the mc questions, and I knew I was going to get a 3 or less. The only explanation I can come up with is that my grader became so frustrated with the first painful essay (appendectomy without anesthetics painful) that he/she gave up and concluded that I should get a 5 because I managed to make an elaborate mockery of history.

This year:
USH: 5
Chem: 5 (Amazing...absolutely amazing...I could have sworn I failed)
Calc BC: 5
Eng. Lang/Comp: 4 (blahh...)

Last year:

Calc AB: 5

Calc: 5/5

HAH to all of you who payed the 8 dollars. How do you feel now?

mathwiz: i feel great

I just joined the CC because I saw how upset some of you are about your AP scores and getting into competitive colleges, and I need to give you some words of wisdom. CALM DOWN! I am a senior now and will be attending Boston College in the fall. I only took 4 AP exams, of which I got a 4 on three of the exams and a 5 on one exam. I also have a very good friend of mine who only took 4 AP exams, and also scored a 4 on three of the exams and a 5 on one exam. She will be attending Dartmouth College and was accepted to such schools as Bowdoin, Middlebury, Colby, Villanova, and many others. So for all of you who feel that you have to get 5's on 10 AP exams to get into an Ivy League school, you are mistaken. Like others on this board have already said, AP scores are only there to help you pass out of classes in college. Just get good grades in your high school classes, relax, and enjoy high school.

I feel so smart!

Gov: 5

Finally...I got a 4 on Spanish lang (thank God) I would have been really mad at myself if I had scored a 3 or lower. My Spanish teacher told me that if I was better at taking standardized tests that I would have def. been able to get a 5. On Bio I somehow also got a 4. Not sure how since I was aiming for a 2 or a 3. Must have been my essays.

So. This year

Spanish Lang. - 4
Biology - 4

Last year

APUSH - 4

U.S. History: 5
