I averaged a B in my English class this year, but got a 5 on the AP Language exam. How will colleges see this? Will the 5 mean anything? Will they assume that the class was difficult, or will they first assume I slack off and only work when I have to? Is the 5 redeeming at all for the low grade? Or is AP Lang seen as kind of a joke (it has that reputation, at least at my school).

I also have the opposite problem...a B+ average in BC calc and a 3 on the AP test. Will colleges think my class was too easy? Or will they take it with a grain of salt?

So, essentially, what scores would (highly selective - Dartmouth and top LA) colleges expect to see correspond to a certain grade?

...sorry for another one of these posts.
