AP Scores ??

Well, do you guys know if I should actually send AP scores to colleges instead of just listing them ? (cuz it's $14/report)
...or should I wait till I take the last batch of tests and send scores in May ?
I mean, are they that important so adcoms actually check them on spot ?

oh yeah, my transcript doesn't have them...

(applying to UC Berkeley/LA/Stanford/Columbia)

good question i wanna know but don't so im bumping this

just list for now. When you know where you will matriculate, you will need to send official scores to that one school.

^^Are you sure? You don't have to report AP scores to UC's?..

you don't have to send in official score reports from College Board. No college in the country requires AP scores, because not all high schools offer them. You certainly CAN send an official report if you want to. If all of your scores are good, you aren't concerned about the money, and/or AP scores are a big "plus" factor for your application, then by all means send an official report.

If you don't send an official report, but you have good scores that you want a college to know about for admissions, you can just list the them on the application yourself (some apps have a specific place for them, some don't). Follow up with an official score report for credit/placement once you know which college you will be attending.

You might check with your GC to see if the AP scores can go out with the transcript to save college board from sending them.

even if they are on your school transcript, the college where you matriculate will want the official report from College Board before they will give you credit.

Texas - you are correct. I was responding to kgr, who I assumed was asking about listing the APs on the college app
