I can't find a place on Columbia's application where they ask for AP scores. Am I just missing it, or are they actually not asked for? If so, does this mean they would prefer us NOT to include our scores, say in the 'Additional Information' section? Or is it just that they don't require scores because they don't constitute much of a factor in the eventual admissions decision? Anybody know?

If they're good and the AP sticker is not on your high school transcript, send them in.

I called the Admissions Office and they said AP scores aren't a factor in the process... the scores are sent to some other office or something. I don't know, sounds strange to me, but that's what the guy said.

i don't want to send them in unless i get accepted, as they cost some outrageous figure. i suppose if they're not a factor there's no point in including them with the application, although i do feel they should count for something.. but i suppose that's up to Columbia. ;) oh well, thanks for the help!

Of course they're a factor. If you don't want to pay the money, list them somewhere. Or send your score report photocopy.
