I got a 4 on the AP Euro test, but there is nothing on my transcript showing that I placed out of the two history classes I'm supposed to have placed out. At first I thought it didn't show up because I didn't get any credit, but then I noticed that for English Writing 101, which you don't get credit for, showed up with 0 credit hours. Does this mean that I didn't place into a higher history level?

@Columbia2017, are you an entering freshman? If so, it’s possible your scores haven’t been processed yet. You can always contact the Registrar who processes and posts AP Credit if you have any questions.

My son’s transcript shows something similar in a different course. I think the issue is that while your score may allow you out of those classes, they are not required (as is the English writing) and so the fact that you can skip them is not something that would show up on the transcript that you can view at this point.

I am an incoming freshman. However, I find it odd that all my other scores were processed for my other tests but not Euro.

@tjmom - I thought that might be correct, but then I started the Tribe Studies assignment and they showed us how to find the classes that we placed out of but did not get credit for, and they had given me credit for one of them but not Euro.

@Columbia2017, according to the Course Catalog, a 4 on the AP Euro exam gets you exemption from History 111 and 112 but not credit for the classes. Does that help?

What is the deadline for incoming freshman to get AP scores reported? D just sent hers in yesterday. Should she call AP and have them rushed?

thanks WM Admissions, but I contacted the Registrar and they said that 4s in AP History classes no longer get you exempt from any classes :(

@Columbia2017, good to know. That must be an update from last year’s catalog.

@mofthree, that’s a question for the Registrar as they process transfer/AP credit.

Thanks!!! Will have D call them today.
