AP Scores

I am aspiring to become a journalist, but first I must get into my dream university, New York University Abu Dhabi.

I take two AP courses in my senior year: AP Art and AP Calculus.

I know taking an AP gives you an edge compared to other applicants, besides excepting you from some classes if you get a 4-5. NYUAD, however, does not accept transfer credits. I am definitely submitting an AP Art portfolio, however I am not sure if I should take the AP Calculus exam. The reasons are 1. I don’t need it for my major, 2. it requires more time from my hectic schedule, and 3. my financial status is a hindrance. These are the possible reasons why I MIGHT not take the AP Calculus exam.

If I take it off, it won’t allow me to add it if I do end up taking it after I submit my application.

If I don’t, would it be counted as a prevarication?

Common App says that you must send official score reports once you’ve added them.
