AP Scores

I got a 1 and two 2s, it was my first year taking AP (junior year)

I know that in order for my intended college I have to submit them myself but what if I do really good on SAT 2s? I was very sick and actually took one of my exams the make-up day – not sure how to convey this information to the college (additional information or do I just leave it out???)

Also I know some of you are going to be like “if they’re that bad, why even send them?”

  1. because I took 3 and got Bs/A in those classes, it would look suspicious if I didn’t – they’ll get the picture not matter what I do
  2. I’m taking 7 AP classes this upcoming year (altho Im only taking 3 of the exams) so it’s like a kind of “I can handle pressure!!!” kind of thing ~ it really was just a bad day, just no idea how to make up for it or tell them I was having a bad week of the AP exams

Thanks to everyone who takes their time to respond!

Self report 3s or higher. Do not report others.

After admission, when you decide where you want to go you send a score report for credit. It goes to the registrar.

Unless your schools require/recommend SAT IIs I wouldn’t even bother. Many schools won’t look at the scores even if provided. Just don’t send those AP scores. Once again, most schools don’t consider them for admission.

AP scores play little to no role in college admissions, so unless the scores are 3 or above, just don’t report them.
As for SAT IIs, take the above poster’s advice ^^. Only send them if your college recommends or requires them.

I was planning on applying to Middlebury/Swarthmore/Maybe Tufts – that’s a yes to SAT IIs, right? I mean any added boost should be taken if you can, amirite?
