I will be doing early decision to UChicago in November; however, I ended up scoring on all my AP tests with a score of 2 due to health issues. Do you think I should report these scores even though I scored all 2’s? Please help!!!
No
It depends…If you have your AP’s in your school transcript, you have no choice.
Even if the classes are on your transcript, you don’t have to report them. You normally would not need to send an official AP score report to a school until you’re enrolled at it and trying to get credit. And self-reporting AP scores on the Common App is optional. If you leave that blank, a school will assume (correctly) that either you didn’t take some tests or you got at best a 3 on them. That’s better than telling them a number of 2s.
The one thing I’m not sure about is if you have to do anything like score choice to make sure schools don’t see your APs along with your SATs (if you send any). Both are from the College Board. In any case, you should make sure you know what scores each college is getting to see before you send any.
AP scores are on a different part of the College Board website. They won’t be included when you send your SAT’s.
