can't you call cornell to get your ap scores earlier? are they up on uportal? i'm out of town when they mail them, so i was just wondering. and if you can call cornell to get your ap scores, what number do you call?

I wouldn't go bothering Cornell. Last year there was a College Board phone number where you could call to get your scores for a fee.

I think it was July 1 last year to call College Board.

When do they send them? Unluck the SAT's/ACT's they don't matter enough for me to pay a fee to get them early, so I'm just playing the waiting game...

A few weeks later? I forget. Look it up.

does cornell take ap scores into consideration in terms of admission?
perhaps in analyzing the merit/strength of your course load or how much work you have done for your "ap's," or are the scores solely for placement purposes?

They look at the number of AP courses you take compared to the number offered at your school (to determine your use of available resources and difficulty of course load), but AP scores aren't considered for anything except placement, after you are accepted. You won't even take your senior APs until after you're accepted.

so should i even bother putting ap scholar with distinc. on my app? or will that be so common anyway that they wont even care?

Definitely put it. It's not nearly as common as you would think. A lot of high schools don't offer many APs or even encourage students to take the tests. Especially if you've achieved AP Scholar w/ Distinction after your junior year, make sure admissions knows.

Ya I never hear anyone from my school getting it (small school), def list it.

Mercury:

AP scores aren't considered for anything except placement

That's what I though.....What can you tell me about the math test for incoming engineering freshman?

I got a 5 on AP Calc BC, so I skipped into 192 (no Cornell placement exam needed)

u can call collegeboard now.. the scores were posted up today. u can call 24/7 adn it costs $8.

If you took some this May and wrote on the answer sheet to send a report to CU, then they get all your previous scores, right?

yup, cornell gets them all

are u sure we can call collegeboard already??
