I notice that often when people are asking about their chances at a particular school and they list their stats, they include what AP tests they've taken and their scores. Do people put the scores down on their applications somewhere? I don't recall that being part of the apps my son filled out.
Thanks!

It says on the common app to put them with academic awards or somewhere like that.

they're sent to the schools along with SAT1's and SAT2's

Wow. I'm so glad that I asked that question. Thanks for the information! Very helpful :)

AP scores are NOT sent with SATs. If you want them to be sent, you have to request it and pay for it separately. There is absolutely no need to do that. You only need to send official scores to the school where you'll be matriculating, and that can be done for free by listing that school as a recipient when taking APs senior year (all scores are sent together).

I don’t remember my children sending their AP scores with the application, but they did sent them after that since they offer placement and credit for some of them (S got 34 credits before starting freshman year and D, 15)

I have 15 from APs too.
