Sorry if this is a terrible question, but during the application process do you send your AP scores or only after you're accepted do you send the scores? Thanks.

i believe you send whatever ap scores you have(so any in high school except senior year ones) during the application process. but i also think they don't care a whole lot about the score itself, but i could be wrong.

I really doubt they don't care that you get a 1, but I'm also wondering if the adcoms put more weight on an A for the class or a 5 on the test. I'm thinking about self studing 3 APs that aren't offered at my school, but I'm also not taking and AP that is possibly offered this year (not given this year because of lack of people).

Usually you self report your AP scores during application process. Then once you decide where to enroll you send an official AP report in order to have them process the credits you will receive at the college you will be attending.

My ds called the colleges and asked them. About half said send them, about half said not unless you matriculate. YMMV

So what if you self study?

^ You still self report your score on the application.

Many of my colleges did not ask for me to self-report my AP scores, nor did they want me to send them (asked in an e-mail). Thus, my conclusion is that AP scores are fairly insignificant.

What colleges did you apply to? I know that you put AP scores on the Common App.....

I'm just worried that I'm not taking the hardest schedule possible (taking all honors possible except the AP comp science that is possible being given next year but wasnt given this year to sophomores due to low enrollment). I am self studying AP world history, grography, and euro. Currently a frosh that decided to take debate over AP comp for the sophomore year schedule.....anyone think this is bad?

help!! 10 chars

bump!!!!!!!

^ jeez, if you're talented enough for so many APs as frosh, you wouldn't be asking us this question.

I have a FAQ about this:
