I was admitted into the Columbia Class of 2012. I just got my AP scores and found out that I unfortunately got a 2 on my Calculus exam. Out of the eight AP exams I took in high school (2 sophomore year, 3 junior year, 3 senior year), I got 5's on every one of them except for this Calculus BC score. I've heard that colleges don't rescind admission for AP scores, only for second semester senior grades. I had all A's last semester; do you think this AP score will get me rescinded? I'm quite worried. Math has always been my weak suit, and I studied hard for that exam (senioritis didn't take over or anything).

No. You will not be rescinded. Columbia doesn't even ask for AP scores, but you can certainly send themto get credit for your 5's without fear of being rescinded. (My son had a 2 and otherwise 5's--not a blink from CU.)

Enjoy your summer and look forward to a good year at Columbia! :)

thank you so much for your prompt response! I guess you could tell I was really worried :P

I feel much better now. I didn't think of the fact that Columbia doesn't even ask for AP scores, so they can't really rescind for something they didn't want in the first place. I told the College Board to send my score sheet back in May when I was taking the exams, so they'll get all of them (including the 2). I would've had the score withheld from the report, but the deadline for doing that was June 15th. As long as there's no harm in the score going though, I'm fine.
