Does anyone know what kind of AP scores USC takes for each subject. Thanks in advance

Is there any credit for calculus?

Mathematics (AB) None 4 sem. units
Mathematics (BC) None 4 sem. units

This thing looks very outdated though...I know if you get a 4 or 5 on Calculus it will waive you out of some classes, but this page has no mention of that.

Here's a more up-to-date version:
http://www.usc.edu/dept/LAS/cas/undergraduate/apcredit.html

In addition, only Viterbi Engineering students can get out of Category IV of the GE requirements with a 4 or 5 on U.S. History.

Is there any mention of that on the page you linked to? I don't see anything regarding Category IV.

edit: Also, it says that passing Chemistry will take care of "Category III, Scientific Principles" and it says the same thing for Physics. Does this mean that there was no point in me taking Physics this year if I had already passed Chemistry?

wait but if i took the AP calc test this year, and i'm going to registration in july, does this mean i still have to take the math placement test if i'm in viterbi?

ummm....i am not an engineering major, BUT

i took both chemistry and physics in high school, and although i got A's in both classes (but did not take the AP tests) I still had to take my cat 3. Plan on taking all your GEs if you later figure out that you don't need to, then be happy. Don't celebrate prematurely, it will only come back to bite you in the ass!

2+2=5,

The line about Engineering students getting credit for U.S. History is in the Viterbi Undergrad bulletin. That page link I gave is really on the College of LAS site.

Yeah...I read something on the Viterbi site about getting out of the Cat 4 with US History but it did specify that it was an exception made only for engineering students....

That's good for me then! I got a 4 on AP USH and I'm an engineering major :D

I got a 5 on calc AB and BC and placed out of Calculus I and II which are math 125 and 126 I think. But I dont know what the minimum scores are or if that was because of the AB or BC or both.

AP Physics gave me UNIT credit, but not placement, i.e. I still had to take all the physics courses required of my major (CECS). May have changed but not to my knowledge. As that site says, technically AP physics exempts you from the cat 3 GE, but you still have to take physics 151 if it's a major requirement.
