Can I just put down the name of the class?

I think it’s better to truthfully report your scores if you have taken the class. you can explain the reasons why the scores are not as high as it should have been in the additional information area. It’s easy to look suspicious if you leave something unreported, or they might think you don’t care enough to take the exam. the latter case is much worse…

:) don’t worry if it’s not a 4 or 5… it’s important that you challenged yourself by taking them.

does MIT consider your ap scores for admission?

If the AP scores are available, they will look at them. I do believe, however, SAT and SAT Subject Test scores are vastly more important in the eyes of the committee.

If you don’t report the scores and you took an AP class, it would look fishy when your high school transcript says “AP Whatever,” but there is no “AP Whatever” score listed. It begs the question: you took the test, so why not take the exam? That looks really fishy.
