So I am having some trouble deciding my AP’s for next year. I need some advice of these 4 AP’s and how easy or hard they were.
AP Literature
AP Physics 1
AP US History
AP Environmental Science
I also am required to take Spanish level 4(advanced) and Precalc next year no matter what.
And all of this gives me one 1 hour and 10 minute study hall. Do you think this is too much and I should take 3 or 4 is okay? I don’t really know how hard or easy these AP’s are…
Ap lit + APUSH means a lot of reading but APES is easy and AP physics 1 medium. Your schedule looks fine like this but if you need to drop one, either drop AP lit OR Amish if you’re afraid of the reading, or APES because it can easily be replaced with anything since it’s an elective.
Are you strong in math and do you enjoy it? At my son’s school, those that are strong in math seem to do fine in AP Physics. Those that are not as strong find it harder. It can depend on the teacher. Maybe ask around and see how strong the teacher is at your school. With the other AP’s, you will have a lot of reading and work. The study hall will help, but think about EC’s, studying for ACT/SAT’s, and decide if you can manage. Good luck!
I’m personally pretty average at math. I have the ability to do it and it’s not that bad for me, but it’s not something I necessarily enjoy. The thing is at my school I have to take a physics credit.
We’re not going to be much help here because the level of difficulty really depends on your teacher. Ask some seniors in your school what those course loads are like. I’ve talked to people in other schools where AP Lit was the death of them, while for me, I napped in every class and still aced it.
