ok, so i just went through all the stuff in Barron's for psychology. I took notes and now i want to review. What do you guys do to review something like psychology? like making flash cards? or just read it again? I know some of the website people had been mentioning, all in all, just what do you guys do when you finish the material?

Well, I'm not in psychology, but for any AP Exam you should take as many exams as possible, especially the Barron's ones because in my opinion they are the only ones that aren't easier than the real thing. Usually PR makes their exams waaaay too easy, but I would take those practice exams anyhow by trying to score ultra-high scores.

Just keep rereading it, and have your friends test you.

But what if you have no friends??? What about me akiiriah, WHAT ABOUT ME?!?!?!

Just keep reading the book over and over again. That's how I handle subjects which are pure memorization!

I read it once, then take as many practice tests as possible and read the explanations for the problems. Also, in the barrons book I just go to the end of each chapter and review those questions and answers.

Most of the info you can learn through practice, but there are some parts that are pure memorization. Knowing a few of the major defense-mechanisms is an example of this...

Do you guys know any web site that can help those of who are taking the psyc AP test to study? Thanks so much.

collegeboard.com

Doesn't get much more helpful than that.

No, I believe I was more helpful.

My S just reviewed all the AP review books at the public library & bookstore for the AP subjects he self-studied. He looked over the sample tests as well & looked up any issues he wanted more depth on the internet. Psych wasn't one of the courses he took.

I wish I was in Hawaii, 'cause then studying anything would be a lot easier. I need a vacation.

I haven't taken the real AP Exam for APUSH, which also requires a lot of memorization (or at least it seems that way), but for a mock exam our teacher gave us I re-read the entire book, taking notes. I plan on doing it again for the real thing. It took me 4 days from early morning to late night, but I got a 5, and the teacher claims he grades very strictly.
