AP Self Studying

If you were to buy one book for each of the following AP’s and self- study them without classroom instruction, which would you buy (and if possible, why)?

AP English Literature and Composition

AP Comparative Government and Politics

AP European History

AP Human Geography

AP Macroeconomics

AP Microeconomics

AP Psychology

AP United States Government and Politics

AP United States History

AP World History

AP Calculus BC

AP Computer Science A

AP Computer Science Principles

AP Biology

AP Chemistry

AP Environmental Science

AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism

AP Physics C: Mechanics

AP Physics 2: Algebra- Based

Thank you for the advice.

I don’t know what to tell you which one to do but I know some you probably shouldn’t:

AP European History

AP Human Geography

AP United States History

AP World History

AP Calculus BC

AP Biology

AP Chemistry

AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism

AP Physics C: Mechanics

AP Physics 2: Algebra-Based

For starters, I wouldn’t self-study 19 AP tests. Taking the class in school would be more beneficial in many respects.

Secondly, I wouldn’t start a new thread on the subject without reviewing the many many tim es this question has been asked. e.g.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/201793-consolidated-book-suggestions-for-ap.html#latest

It’s for a friend of mine; his parents don’t let him post stuff on social media, and is planning on taking these courses throughout high school. Our school has really tough teachers and standards to get an A, and he is currently in 9th grade, studying for AP Biology.

Avoiding the AP classes offered at the school and studying them himself to avoid tough teachers is a terrible idea.

In which case, I’m closing this thread. “Asking for a Friend” posts are not allowed.
