AP Spanish Lang situation...

So, due to some scheduling issues combined with personal indecisiveness, I decided to remain in my insanely difficult AP Spanish Lang class but am not taking the AP Exam. However, my teacher doesn't like the idea of me not taking the exam. Unlike me, she thinks I actually have a shot at passing it, and maybe even a chance of earning a 4 or higher (!) without much additional preparation. Because I'm a junior, I will have a chance to take the exam next year. However, it will probably involve plenty of extra preparation on my part (which I don't mind doing) especially since I'm a non-native speaker. I'm also nervous about taking the exam, since I come from a school where, despite so much preparation, few actually pass the AP Spanish Lang or Lit exams. My question is, should I do it? Is it worth the effort? And considering the fact that I am a non-native speaker who has never been satisfied with my Spanish speaking skills, do I even have a realistic chance of passing the exam? (Granted, I do have another year now, and I've generally been decent in writing and pretty strong in grammar...)

I’m a non native taking the AP Spanish Language test as well. And I’m not too good at it…I think you would have good chances of getting a 4…at least, that’s my goal.
I’m just listening to Noticias, and reading Barron’s. We also practice listening, speaking in class, etc. I’ve known non natives from my school who have gotten 4’s and (rarely) even 5’s on the exam. I think you should take it, since you said you didn’t mind preparing for it. Personally, I think it’s going to be my hardest AP (even harder than AP Physics C). Also, it’s my first AP this year (the first tuesday :[[[[)
well good luck

thanks! i’ve decided to take it next year. if it helps, take a look at [Audiria.com - Free and Daily Spanish Podcasts](http://www.audiria.com) for some extra practice - it helped me. Good luck to you as well  that day is my first AP as well (comp sci ab)
