I’ll be taking (H) Spanish III as a sophomore next year, with the intention of taking the subject test. If I make it to AP SPANISH IV the following year, does it matter which order I take the exams? (Assuming I make it AP SP V)
The course you take should be aligned with one of the two AP tests. Do the course descriptions not clarify it?
I would think IV would be Language and V would be Literature, if they are AP-specific courses. But check course descriptions, counselor, teacher.

Lang comes first. Ap Spanish literature is like AP English lit, but in Spanish. It’s really, really hard.

But just looking at the syllabus it should be clear AP Spanish lit is hard: comprehensive, follows the canon of classics, and requires strong analytical and linguistic skills.
