AP Spanish or AP English?

It has come time to choose classes for next year. I have to choose between AP English Literature or AP Spanish Language (because those two classes are both taught during the same period), and I really don't know what to choose. This year, I have an absolutely AMAZING Spanish teacher, and I really love the class and I've heard that next year the teacher is just as good. I don't really like English class too much, and the AP English teacher next year is an old lady who is known to be very close-minded and tough (my friends who are usually straight A students get low/mid B's in her class).

Obviously, you can see from above that I'd rather take Spanish, but my parents think that English would benefit the most because they don't think Spanish is too important. I want to go into either Psychology or some type of Business (lol, yes I know, two very different things), so which one do you guys think I should take? Do colleges prefer one over the other?

My high school doesn't offer AP English, but I was able to take the AP English exam and get a 5 on it anyway. I'd say go ahead and take the AP Spanish, and you can work on studying for the AP English on your own time (or not study and take your chances, as I did :) .

Take AP Spanish and an advanced lit or writing course (if you can) and then just take the English AP test.

Whoops, I didn't see what you wanted to major in. I still give the same advice though lol.

^You could do that; AP English Lit isn't really specific to the course, though it would be good to read some of the recommended books.

I would say that if you want to go into Psychology, take English Lit, and for Business, take AP Spanish.
