Next year, I will be a senior in high school. I was wondering if it was worthwhile to drop AP Spanish or Orchestra (either one) for AP Chem or AP Bio. I am already taking AP Physics B (algebra based physics) this year, and I plan to take AP Physics C (calculus based physics) next year.

On top of pre-med, I'm also considering a business major, if this should affect your decision.

Thanks for your advice!

If you’re doing well in your AP Physics classes, AP Chem would probably serve you better in terms of related skills. If you’re more memorization oriented, then AP Bio is my suggestion.

Regarding AP Spanish or Orchestra, colleges prefer students who show commitment in activities. You should only drop them if you’re chasing: 1. minimum requirements 2. tired of the class 3. want to add variety to your resume

Good luck.
