Hi! I had my first class of Spanish IV AP today and realized that it may be hard to take Spanish IV without knowing Spanish II or III (my teachers for both of those courses literally did not teach us almost anything). I have a couple of native speaking friends (who also took Spanish IV and V AP and got 5's) who would be willing to work with me to help me learn Spanish if I need them to, but I'm worried that the work it will take may simply not be worth it to learn almost two years of Spanish in a couple months, while having an extremely difficult time in the class considering I can only understand a couple words my teacher says (Spanish is the only language spoken in the class--which does make sense).
I have the option to take AP Biology instead and then take AP Chem senior year (whereas I would be taking Spanish this junior year and ap bio senior year) instead of Spanish but am wondering if this looks bad to colleges. I've heard many upper universities like to see students take advanced levels of foreign languages in high school and that to like to continuity in courses, so I'm simply wondering if I'll take a hit in college admission chances if I drop Spanish for Bio (note that whether I drop Spanish or not I plan to take the Biology AP Exam while if I drop Spanish I will not and that dropping Spanish will also stop me from receiving the international AP diploma/or w.e. (although is this even important?)).

Sorry for typing so much, just wanted to get all the info out there, but either way thanks for the time reading this/responding! If you have any other questions about this situtation...just post them.
