Okay, im taking AP spanish and over the summer we have to read Don Quijote.

Now, I was always good at spanish but when I started reading Don Quixote, I find myself having to look every other word in the dictionary! And when I do, each word has more than one definition, so I have to rely on context to figure out what the correct one is, which is hard when you don't know the meaning of the words you're using for context!

I know that there are translations on Sparknotes and stuff but I'd like to actually understand the story and not rely on that....so does anyone have any suggestions? THX!

I would help you, as I am taking AP Spanish Language this year. However, my summer reading assignment is different, as we have to read the journal of explorer Cabeza de Vaca. Yes. The firsthand account, in very formal Spanish.

I'm in AP Spanish this year too. We read Don Quijote last year...I love the story, it's funny! No matter how crazy the translation, it is probably the correct one. Like he really did think windmills were giants, he really did try to free all of the prisoners, etc. Use the dictionary and the context clues, some of the words may not be as crazy as you think! Hope I helped somehow lol.

I am taking AP Spanish Lit. next year and have still yet to read Don Quixote!

I loved AP Span but then again, Spanish is my first tongue. If you need help ny anything specific though, feel free to PM me. :)
