Which of the two Ap classes (Ap Calc/ AP Statistics) do colleges favor?

Well, calculus has generally more applications, but AP Statistics will be most likely invaluable if you're going for a social sciences degree.

yea, Stats is pretty useful

In my opinion, Calculus, especially BC, is more rigorous and would probably be favored over Statistics. I'm not expert though.

I spent one day in AP Stat and found it was absurdly easy. The next year I spent a year in AP Calc and found it, too, was absurdly easy. But! the AP Stat exam is said to be easier than the AP Calc exam (especially BC). So, I'd say, if you're looking for something easy, go Stat, for something mathematical and minimally challenging, go Calc.

Colleges favor calc. CalTech/MIT/other colleges require a year of calc to get in ("require" is used loosely, but that's what they say). But a 5 on Stat always looks nice to StateU or w/e.

Calc way more useful than stats.

Go for calculus (esp. when you are apply to top 20 schools and ivys)

I'd go for Calculus. It's a requirement in many college freshman math classes, whereas Statistics is mostly optional. Even if you don't get college units for it, it's still the more conventional math class.

Do both if you can.
