AP Stat or CP Calculus?

Would it be worth it to take AP Statics or CP Calculus? I just finished Pre-calculus this year but I didnt do too well grade wise towards the end of the year and would have to take CP Calculus if I wanted to take Calculus next year. Would it be better for me to take the CP class or just take AP Statistics instead? Do I need any CP Calculus knowledge to do well in the class?

Even regular calculus is seen as more rigorous / important than AP Statistics, seeing it’s part of the main math progression.

And AP Statistics is algebra-based, so you don’t need to know any calculus before taking it (only need completion of Algebra 2).

what is CP Cal? Cal is CAl, never heard of college prep Cal

What does “CP” stand for?

CP is probably “college prep”, or a course less rigorous than AP calculus AB. Such a less rigorous calculus course may cover the content of a semester of “calculus for business majors”.

These quizzes may help you assess your precalculus knowledge and readiness for calculus:

Was it CP precalculus or honors precalculus? What exact grade did you get?
What major are you thinking of ?
