I’ll finish AP Calc BC at the end of junior year, so for senior year, would you recommend taking AP Stat, a class at a local college (such as mutivariable or linear algebra or whatever else they offer), or just don’t take any math and focus on other subjects?
And my school doesn’t offer a math high than BC, btw.

It depends what your interests are I guess... if you have maxed out on your hi-school options than a local college option is great, especially if you are genuinely interested in continuing studies in math... if, however, you have other interests (esp Social sciences or other fields outside of math for which stat might be helpful) then I would take stat. Personally, i am not a WONDERFUL math student, so I have decided to take AP stat next yr (my senior yr too) instead, but that is b/c i am heavily into social sciences and stat is invaluable

My son was looking into pre-med at one time and found that math above Calculus was not required (at least by the schools he looked into), but that Statistics sometimes was. He ended up taking Statistics at the community college, since the high school did not offer it. (His goal was to get all his math done in high school, so he did not have to take it in college.)

Thanks for the info.
Are you saying that in pre-med, even during college (not to apply), you wouldn't need any higher maths? Like you wouldn't have to take any math at all if you finish Calc and Stat in high school? That'd be sweet because I really hate math.

It would probably depend upon the college and their general ed. requirements. However, my son figured that, by taking Calculus and Stats at the community college, he could just transfer the credits and thus be done with math. (It DOES sound good, doesn't it? At least to those who don't love math...) AP Calculus, etc. should also give credit, I think. So, yes, a definite possibility.
