ap stat vs apes please help me decide which one to self study!!!

Hi guys, I want to know which one is eaiser: apes or ap stats? I've heard that apes is really easy... which one should I self study? thanks!
PS: I'm also taking AP chem, bio, world history, physics C mechanics, cal ab, and chinese test this year.

please guys really need this!!!

people say that es is really easy but it has some of the worst statistics for the number of 5’s. stats is higher at around 20%

both courses are memorization heavy but in statistics there is some more thinking

thanks for contributions! Or is it worth it to self study AP Physics C E/M after Mechanics?

I took both exams-- I self-studied for APES (2011, 5) and then I took AP Stats at school last year (2013, 5). I think it’s pretty easy to get a 5 on the APES exam if you really do motivate yourself to study it!

For AP Statistics, I found the information taught in the class to be really valuable-- if you have the opportunity to do so and your statistics class has a reputation of being fairly good and taught well, I would definitely take it in school. Sometimes, it’s better to have the added rigor and knowledge that some teachers bring to the class than to just study the material on the exam.

I would also double check how all your AP exams would line up schedule-wise. I remember making the mistake of taking AP Chem and AP Bio as a sophomore and self-studying for APES and AP Psych at the same time. Despite having it ending up well, taking back to back exams can be draining (esp if you cram-study for the APs you decided to self-study). But I don’t think that would be a problem if you self-study APES because if I remember correctly, it’s during the same block as AP Chem-- so you would have to take form B for one of those two…

I wish you luck on your other AP exams! (So many, much smart, haha.)

Unless the colleges you are applying to give useful subject credit for those AP scores, is it really worth the bother to take those AP tests?

Yes, it quite matters. Without the priority boost I wouldn’t have been able to get the second to last spot in a class that is a step in the engineering prereq ladder. It would’ve meant an extra semester.

AP Stats is a lot easier than AP ES
