When colleges see AP Stat on a transcript, what do they think? Easy, medium, or ok AP?

They think you're the biggest damn idiot ever for taking such a stupid ass course. BTW, my final grade in Stat was a D- and i got a 5 on the AP. im just messin around.

This is a dumb question. I'm sure colleges look at all the AP classes at the same level of difficulty. It would be judgemental to assume one AP class is more difficult than another. They would have no proof.

I don't know about colleges.. but at my school, stat is THE easiest ap. if you dont take it.. you're.. an idion. - -;; (a lil exaggertation here...)

Stats is not calculus or physics. The work is generaly much easier and most people get 5s, but I doubt colleges rank APs.

I think colleges would look at the context of your class...like, if you took stats instead calculus, they wouldn't like that. But if you took stats after having exhausted your school's other math/science classes, I can't imagine how they would see that as unfavorable.

1) it's an AP class, so its positive
2) yes, they'd much rather see AP Calc since AP Stats only requires Alg I as a prereq
3) Stats is typically, a semester college course, so it's considered an AP Lite
4) Colleges do, indeed, prefer tyepical year-long equivalent courses, such as Calc, Lit, Euro, or the hard sciences, such as Bio, Physics, and/or Chem.

But, if you've exhausted Calc, or are just not a math person, AP Stats can be a good course. It you check the CB website, you'll find that "most" people definitely do not earn a 5.

last year at my school 23 of the 24 people who took the ap test passed it... and ap stats at my school is the class the people who suck at math take.
