So how many of you think you will get state scholar this year?

Well, I have 13 tests --> Male Montana

youre a lock.

I have 21--Texas male

id say you are a lock as well. 21 is absurd man.

I have 50, is that enough?

Probably not. Sorry. :-/

How much is this costing yall?

can somebody explain to me WHAT is ap state scholar, i mean ...i read the college board info about it, but like...still..what is it, how do u get it, and when do u get it?...and how does it benefit u (well i know however that u hafto take a number of APs to get it)
o and dont just copy paste the info offa collegeboard, i read that allready..lol

The AP State Scholar is the scholar of all AP scholars. taking the most AP's and scoring high on all of them, is a personal challenge. people just do it b/c of the bragging rights, its not like u really get anything. the kind of people who go for state scholar, are the same ones who get into harvard and such. AP state scholars start taking like 2/3 APs 9th grade, 4 or more 10th, 5/6 11th, 7/8 12th and most of them are self-study. It is impossible to get it before 11th grade.by the time u get the award you will already be in college, so it wont matter. It is realistic to get 10-12aps, and actually take the class. anything more than that is crazy.

Wow, it's great that people want to challenge themselves, but some people need to get a life outside of AP!

Thanks for posting about this, I've been wondering about this for awhile. . .

I was wondering how many tests most state scholars take - for instance one person has 13, one 21, how many is enough?

I live in New York and I am a female. Just curious as to whether it is something I should attempt to pursue or something I should just not worry about. I'm planning on about 11, but . . .

thank you for any insight.

Don't wory about it....NY probably will have like 25 APs or something insane.

My school didnt offer AP's freshman and sophomore year, so I'm taking 2 AP's my junior year and 4 AP's my senior year. If I get a 5 on each AP test will I be able to get AP State Scholar. I live in Kentucky, and my school just now got a whole new course directory with AP's.

Also do online AP courses count???? If you take them on your own time.

I think only tests count, not courses. As long as you get a 4/5 on the test, taking the course at all is irrelevant...

My friend got it as a female/PA with about 15, I think.
