AP Statistics and AP Environmental Science

These are two AP exams I could self-study for. How are the tests? Do you think it would be too hard to self-study and I should take an online class instead?

Last question: I could learn them over the summer, but then I would go through the entire school year before taking the AP exam. Would it work if I did it over the summer and reviewed a few weeks before the test? Or is it not worth it, and I should just take it during the year?

Sorry, I just made that really long and confusing. It's 2AM and I'm playing the jet lag game.

I haven’t taken either of those, but I heard that AP Statistics is different from a lot of other math classes, and it’s more formula-based. It sounds as if it’s something that wouldn’t be hard if you were taking it the year before you take the exam, but I’d be kind of worried about trying to reteach yourself in the weeks before the exam.
