Im interested in civil engineering and am currently taking AP stats in highschool. I was wondering if i should take the AP exam for this class. for civiil engineering do i need to take a statistics class in college?

Stat 401 is a required course for Civil Engineering.

[Undergraduate Degree Programs: Engineering](http://bulletins.psu.edu/bulletins/bluebook/college_campus_details.cfm?id=27&program=c_e.htm)

If you take the exam and get a 3 you get credit for Stat 100 and with a grade of 4 or 5 you get credit for State 200 according to this website:
[Penn State Undergraduate Admissions](http://admissions.psu.edu/academics/credit/ap/)

I wouldn’t take the exam if you are seriously set on Civil Engineering.
