im talking about the actual class though?

AP Stats is very easy. APES is easier but not by that much. Calc AB is harder than both but even that is one of the easiest APs out their.

You asked that question like you thought that the AP STATS CLASS was DIFFERENT from AP Statistics. What’s your point?

I meant “there.” I cannot believe I actually posted this. Sorry.

well my class is really hard the highest grade is a c

^lol really? Tell your teacher she is stupid for making such an easy subject so damn hard because that really isn’t necessary.

It’s stupidly easy. Stats is all common sense.

at our school apes has a ridiculous amount of work, i get more hw there than in apush/stat/english lit combined.

That being said 18/18 kids in last years class got fives, and there were some freaking ■■■■■■■■ kids in that class.

do colleges think this class is easy?
will they think that this sophmore is challenging him/her self while being in Pre-ib by taking this class?

Stats is incredibly difficult at my school, but after reading these comments, I think think that difficulty would be exclusive to just my school. It’s not that the material is hard, it’s just the way the teacher makes the tests and how she grades them (it’s not the standard AP way).

Apparently, at my school, pure mathematics is considered harder than statistics. So I would think AP Statistics isn’t that hard.

The stats AP wasn’t that bad, I self-studied for it and got college credit. Try studying during your free time with iPhone apps! I would play around with it when I’m waiting for the bus or something, and it really adds up.

The one I used is from: [Mobile learning | iPhone, iPad, Android | Education apps | Publishing & Development](http://www.getyalearnon.com/)

I honestly believe AP Statistics is harder than most courses. I don’t know why it’s so not respected… Although the actual mathematics is very limited, there is much more explanation and applicability. It is definitely useful in the real world and it helped me see the world differently. Besides, Statistics shouldn’t even be considered a math course, because it’s so different from traditional Calculus or Algebra.

It is hard, but well worth it.

I’m currently in both AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB. My calculus teacher is…well, honestly, he’s really pretty bad. He’s funny, though, so people like him. Oddly enough, he still manages to have higher averages (LOTS of 5s) than any of the other schools in the area.
As to which is more difficult, I’d actually have to say statistics. There’s a wider variety of material covered, and it’s a lot more conceptual. It definitely isn’t “just common sense” as the previous posters seem to think. It’s unfortunate because many people took AP Statistics looking for an “easy” AP math class, but really, this isn’t usually the case. Now, they’re getting Cs and, if they’re lucky, Bs.

Compared to BC Calculus, Statistics should not be any harder

AP Stats is much more writing than math, but I wouldn’t call it the easiest AP. I think some other APs like Computer Science, Psychology, and ES are easier.
