AP Statistics Independent Study... starting now

I was wondering if I started studying AP Stats right now, would i be ready by test time. I am currently taking a Calculus class for math( i plan to take the AP test). I have no background of stats, so i would be starting fresh.

Would Barron's, Princeton Review, or Cliffnotes (or some other book) be sufficient to get me ready. Are they appropriate for fresh beginners?

I would imagine so. My school does block scheduling and I have three AP classes I haven’t started yet.

It’s still probably a good idea to buy the official AP Stats textbook (The Practice of Statistics by Yates). However, Stats is a pretty easy AP, so if you’re feeling brave, you can probably get a 5 without the book.
And yes, you’ll be ready on time.

Check that course out; I took it last semester. It’s absolutely fantastic, with outstanding professors, lectures, and a great community to discuss with. You can also go at your own pace; you can skip ahead if it’s too slow for you, or slow down if it moves too fast. The problem sets too are just the right balance between challenging and simple.

Take a look at other courses there too, it’s a really awesome site designed by MIT and Harvard, and now has Berkeley, Georgetown and Wellesley joining. I learned Python off of that junior year lolz.

OMG, logicxc24, awesome site!!! Will the course ALONE suffice for the material on the AP?
