Hi! I will be in my junior year this coming year, and my schedule is pretty set except for one thing. I had originally signed up for AP Bio, but now I am interested in taking AP Stat. My schedule is as follows:
Honors Eng.
AP Chem
religion (mandatory)
AP us history
AP Bio
honrs spanish 3
honors precal

I'm guessing that AP Stat is probably harder than AP Bio, right? I'm interested in majoring in Business so would taking two AP stat with my other AP's be better than taking two sciences (ap chem and ap bio). Does it even matter? If you study for the class, is the course of AP Stat pretty easy? Help...please :)! THank you!

Stat might require some thinking, but Bio is memorization. Make that a lot of memorization.

From what I heard around my school, Bio is harder.

Look at it this way, Stat is a semester of a college class taught in a year, but Bio is a full year of college class taught in the same amount of time. We finished everything with 2 months to spare in Stat.

From my experiences, Statistics is a joke. My teacher was so horrific I pretty much taught myself by reading the textbook and doing example. And I'm not one of those math geniuses, I took AP Stat to avoid Calculus for one and got a B in Precal.

My school only offers honors Stat. After taking that I decided to study for the AP test and I ended up doing well on that.

Considering I literally studied the night before, I would say Stat is not that difficult if your are fairly good at math.

Considering the fact that you're aiming for a business major, which class is likely more useful in the long run?

^ Stat.
