AP Statistics Self-Study

Hello everyone! Today, I have a few questions concerning AP Statistics

As a rising sophomore, I have decided to self-study AP Statistics. Alongside this, I am taking 1 AP, 3 Honors classes, and dropped out of Spanish 3 Honors to accommodate more time for studying. I just bought a Princeton Review book for it, and I was wondering if some people could give tips on when I should start preparing for the test, how much time I should commit to studying, and advice for when I take the test. Thank you in advance!

Honestly if I were you, I would not have dropped out of Your Honors Spanish class. Courses you take in high school will matter more to colleges than self studied APs. Even if the goal is purely for course credit, I think taking the ones available to you when you can would be more valuable

Thank you for your advice. Honestly, Spanish also is a class that bores me, but since I don’t want to drop the language entirely, it also influenced my decision to drop out. The reason I’m self-studying AP Statistics is because they give priority to juniors and seniors at my school, and I was not put into a class. I did 1 AP last year, and planned to do 2 this year, then 3 during junior year, and so forth. If I don’t do it this year, I’ll be adding an extra AP class to my junior or senior year. So it’s not as much about what colleges think, it’s more so getting 2 AP credits this year.

one question: do i need a graphing calculator to get a 5 on the ap statistics exam? like do i definitely need it?

sure it is very helpful.
