Hello guys, I just have a little question here..

well, I'm a high school junior. And I'm taking three ap courses this year, but ap stat is just torturing me right now..

First of all, the teacher doesn't know what he is teaching. I asked him 5 questions from prep book, and he answered me all 5 questions "wrong." Those questions were just from probability section, by the way..

This is the first year that AP Statistics was placed as a course. So, to speak, the school does not provide enough resources for this course.

We use Larson and Farber "Elementary Statistics third edition." I don't even know whether this book is good enough for ap subjects..

And, most importantly, the teacher doesn't have any official degree or something that proves he is a teacher. He worked in fastfood restaurants, but realized that he couldn't make enough money. So he decided to take Statistics "Summer program", and is now teaching stat. Not just stat, but AP stat.. He also doesn't know what basic concept is. I once asked him "can you explain me what binomial distribution means?" The answer he gave me was "well, bi means two. There are two distributions.", which is just absurd.

I just don't understand this whole situation. I talked about this problem with the head of academic office, but what he said to me was "well, study by yourself. AP subjects are not those teachers spoon feed you."

Now, here's my question.

I'm studying AP stat with only Barron's prep book. After I finish it, I'm planning to look over 5 steps to 5 ap stat book and get more shaped concept. After that, I will try all practice tests and released ap exams. I really wanna get 5. Without looking over textbook, if I get clear concepts of all terms and if I know what kinds of equations I have to utilize for certain types of questions, is there any chance that Im receiving 5?

If there is any website that I can find tips or useful information related to Stat, please help me out. I desperately need help..
