Hi everyone.
I’m just gonna start with the fact that I am horrible at math. Any kind, count me out. It isn’t that I don’t try, or study, it’s just that I’m plain bad. I do try. I dedicate so much of my time to studying for math but for some reason I can just never get above a C.
Anyways, I didn’t want to take Calculus this year because I knew it would make my gpa so much worse than it already is, so I took AP Stats (I wanted to challenge myself a little & try it out). I love my teacher and I love what we’re learning, but I’m pretty sure I failed the first test…so I need your opinions on what to do.
Should I attempt to drop the class (I say attempt bc I have to talk to my counselor and see if there is a class I can go into w/o messing my whole schedule up)?
Should I stick it out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What year are you? Senior? Colleges generally want to see four years of math, so if you drop AP Statistics, what math class will you replace it with? Does your school offer a non-AP level stats? Non AP calculus?
If you like your teacher, why not approach her for suggestions on tutoring, etc? DD’s high school offers free tutoring before, during and after school, and although that seems rare according to these boards, teachers at any school should be willing to help you out or point you in the right direction.
You will have to take math in college, so AP Stats is a great way to get a foundation.
Definitely look at that link …there is a vast world between "I think i am not good at math " and “I’ll just drop it”
