AP stats discussion

Well considering the M/C for this test was friggin ridiculous(again, I’m pretty sure one of them didn’t even have a correct answer choice!) I think the cutoff will be somewhere around there.

Idk, I thought the multiple choice was really easy. The free response was pretty easy too, though I’m not compeltely sure about the formula at the end.

^ and I know the one your talking about, I chose the best incorrect answer I hope ;P

Gaah, i really want to tell you what I did, but we’re not supposed to : (

One of the multiple choice was wrong…
FR was easy except I didn’t get #2, #4 completely.

That. was. so. darn. hard. And it’s supposed to be stats and everyone said it’d be easy!!! What happened???

^^
lol, that’s what I thought too.

On the 2002 AP Stats exam a composite score of 68-100 was needed for a 5. (googled score ranges and found it  )

I thought the MC was OK, I’d say I got around 27-30 right. FR was a cake walk.

Hrm, one can get a raw MC score of around 27 with around 70-75% completion on the FRQs and make a 5. Just basing this off the scoring guidelines for 2002 :p

My class was plagued by senioritis and half the people didnt even take the exam, so the teacher decided not to cover anything about inference.

user3725, i think the 2007 or 2008 exam was out of 60/100.

And it was definetely easier than this one!

user3725…when you say raw score…how do you calculate that??

Multiple choice: (# correct out of 40) - (.25)(# wrong) = score x 1.25 = MC score

Free response: (Each FRQ question is worth 4 points for a complete, 3 for substantial etc…)

s 1-5: (points on each) x 1.875 = points for #s 1-5

6: (points) x 3.125 = points for #6

Add the scores for the FRQs and the MC = total / 100

Cheers! ^_^

okay. so I’ve done a couple of MC’s from previous years, and this year’s was definitely much harder. I skipped 1 and probably got about 5 wrong.

FRQ was so easy. hopefully I didn’t make dumb mistakes.

5 on calc bc. 800 on SAT reasoning math. 800 on SAT math lv2.
Hopefully a 5 on stats.

i thought this MC was pretty easy (skipped 3, i expect 30 right) but our teacher gave us so much practice that none of the questions were too foreign. FRQs were easy too but i was pressed for time so some of my answers I had to BS lol. If everyone else thought it was hard then hopefully the curve will be generous this year =D

That MC was harder than usual. I hope I got around a 27 raw. Omitted 7.
FRQ were alright. I had no clue how to do #2 b & c, so pretty much BS’ed it.
Overall, it was alright.

Just want a dang 3 lol.

me too…i think i will be thrilled with a 3 right now…

Thats interesting, I didnt get #2a, but I got b and c. (I think…hopefully).

quit sweating it, you’ll all be fine and quite surprised when you get your scores.

To get a 3 you need to have scored a 50/100…50%!!! Also, you get your FRQs back in class, oh joy!

53%+ is a 4. 68% + is a 5. I got at least 4, hoping for a 5.

MC/FR were OK. I left 1 blank on mc, probably got at least 5+ wrong, and probably messed up on a few parts of sections on the FR.

i want a 5…really badly.
at least 35% from the MCs.
and 35% from the FRQs. so at least 70%, meaning a 5!?!?! :)
