AP stats discussion

i hope bell curves is correct. i’ll be so golden

you need 68% in each section, not 34 in 1 and 34 in other

wait…i thought it was 68/100 for everything…?!

Wow, I completely sucked on the FR. I forgot that there was a number 6, so I had to finish it in 10 minutes — and I could tell it was one of the easiest #6’s ever. I think I only got one part of it right. But, I think I got around 35 on the MC. Hopefully that’s enough for a 5.

innocuity…me too!
…i didn’t forget…but by the time i got to it…i had too little time left to really work on it…so even if it was simple…i was so rushed…i didn’t realize it…:(…

uhh cougar…I don’t know if you’re kidding or not, but you’re not adding the percents right.

35% of the MC plus 35% of the frq’s is still equal to a 35% on the entire exam. Don’t treat the proportion you answered correctly on the mc or frq as independent from the total point value of the test. A 35% means you probably got a 2.

I think Cougar meant 35 points for each section, not 35%. An honest but dumb mistake :D

oh okay…so the old thing still stands true.?? good…maybe…

wow, ap stats kids with proportion problems…
typical

haha

that was, by far, the easiest ap test i have ever taken…wheres the challenge

All this antagonizing for a score that will come 2+ months from now…although I can’t say I’m exempt from that antagonizing.

each test is worth 50% (like how it says on the back of the booklet)
so i’ll take the 35% of that 50% for each packet

Misread one of the FR Qs and totally screwed myself over… =/
Made so many ridiculously stupid mistakes on the FR. The MC was kind of hard but the FR was easy…but I still somehow ended up screwing up, ugh.

guys, is eqweewee correct is saying that you need 68% from each section?
that seems rather odd, considering you can get a 67% on one section and a 100% on the other

The MC was HARD for me. I left 10 problems blank & guessed on 10 more problems(I’m pretty sure I got most of them wrong) also messed up the FR a lot so I’m hoping to get a 3 or at most a 4 if I’m lucky. I was expecting it to be easier but…

no thats not what i meant cougar, if you get a 67% and a 100%, that’s a 5

oh okay okay
thanks eqweewee

If I get, say 85% on the MC and 60% on the FR, is there a chance I’d get a 5?

Can I get a 5 if I got 80% on the FR and -8 to -10 on the MC?

i don’t remember checking any conditions, how many frq req. checking cond., just the interval one?
