Hello! I am considering whether or not I should take AP stats online on FLVS this summer and into my junior year. I am currently a sophomore taking Algebra II Honors and I've done really well this year and found it pretty easy, if that means anything.
Next year I am taking precalc in school and will most likely take calculus my senior year. I've heard that AP stats isn't very difficult compared to calc, and I feel that taking stats would be beneficial for whatever career I go into. However, I'd like to take both but won't have room in my in-school schedule for it.
If I were to take stats online, I'd have to do it now. There's a new rule that says that FLVS AP courses don't affect your GPA until after you take the AP test. In other words, if I took it next summer rather than this summer it wouldn't help my GPA until after I get into college, and I don't think an taking online class is worth if it if it doesn't help. From my experience, online courses are easy to maintain high grades in as long as you don't fall behind. However, I have yet to take an online AP course and may be underestimating the rigor.
I've heard good things about FLVS AP stats. If anyone has taken it, I'd really appreciate any advice.

I took AP Stats on FLVS and I thought it was really good. In my opinion, it taught me really well. It was also really easy too. I got a really high A, like a 97 I believe. The AP Exam was super easy after taking this course. Probably one of the easiest 5s I’ve ever gotten. A lot of my friends also took it on FLVS and they didn’t like it but I thought it was excellent.

Thank you so much for your input! I’m enrolling in it right now :)
