AP Stats or AP Calc BC?

Hi guys! I will be a senior this year and have passed AP Calc. AB with an A in my junior year. Since I am wanting to go into the medical field, I really want to take BOTH an AP science (chem. or bio) and AP Calc. BC at the same time, however the classes conflict. It’s either science with stats or just calc bc.

The thing about Calc. BC is that I will be the only student sitting in the corner self-studying with no attention from the teacher other than tests and homework, while he will be teaching the Calc. AB class. I also don’t think I have enough logic regarding trends and patterns for stats and don’t plan on doing anything with business in college.

What do I do? Note that the set schedule for Aug. 10 cannot be changed at any time during the school year.

AP Chem./Bio. & AP Stats. or AP Calc. BC

I think, since you are interested in medicine, you should take a science class and stats. You have passed AP Calc AB which can get you out of intro classes at some schools (depending on your AP score)- you will likely have to take math in college though, so my advice is to pick the route that allows you to take what you are interested in (science).

I think AP Stats and you self study AP Calc BC a bit. Bio and Chem are too crucial to pass up in medicine.

Thanks! Do you guys have any recommendations on whether AP Chem. or AP Bio. is better for freshman college? I heard AP Chem. is an easy pass in my school while Bio. is a lot harder.

Whichever one you will be successful in is the best choice.

Agreed.
