My son has to choose classes soon for his senior year. He plans to major in engineering. He has 5 AP courses this year and didn't have room to fit in regular physics, so the option of AP Physics is not there for next year. There is also a chance he won't be able to schedule the regular physics class either. So what is the better alternative - AP Environmental Science or AP Statistics? He will be taking Calculus 3 and of course the math teacher is pushing Stats but other kids report that it is a "joke" at his school.

Any class can be a “joke” depending on the teacher. For a budding engineer, Physics is a no-brainer, IMO.

Stat or Physics, but he’s dong Calc so unless he can handle it…

AP Statistics is 100% calling predefined functions on your calculator. If an easy 5 is preferred then I recommend statistics.

Physics C is all math as well, and the formula sheet is pretty much all you need. I feel like a turing machine during class, lol.
