AP Stats or PreCal??

Hi everyone. I’m currently a sophomore in high school and am planning my course for next year. I don’t know if I should take AP Statistics or Precalculus. If I take AP Statistics next year, I’ll likely take agriculture math my senior year (my school has an agricultural magnet program.) But if I take precalculus next year, I’ll likely take AP Calculus (not sure which one yet) my senior year. Or I could take AP Statistics next year and take AP Calculus my senior year, which doesn’t follow my district’s recommended plan, or I could take precalculus next year and AP Statistics and AP Calculus my senior year. I’m not sure what I want to do and could really use some help. Thanks in advance!

What’s your goal? What do you want to study? If you take Precalc you will be on the path of taking calculus. It’s usually a path for students who want to do STEM.

I would like to study either sports management or exercise science in college. I haven’t quite decided between those two. I would like to go out of state to a very competitive school (UMich) so I would like to have a rigorous schedule.
